Include LWD delete previous

With horizontal wells, the LWD LAS files can be numerous, each new file being a bit deeper (measured depth) than the previous file. The objective is eliminate the multiplicity of curves - keep the most current, deepest curves, and delete the curves loaded from the previous, “shallower” files.

When Include LWD Delete Previous is selected, as each curve in the new file is loaded, Utilities checks for a curve of same type, with same start depth. If a match is found, and the new curve being loaded has a deeper stop depth, then the previous curve is deleted as the new curve is loaded. If the curves in the file being processed are shallower than those already loaded, then the curves in the file being processed will not be loaded. A copy of all original LAS files are saved in the Archive, whether or not the curves are loaded. The function will work for LAS files containing standard wireline logs, mud logs or directional surveys.
